Indonesia is interesting country.
Indonesia have a lot of culture, language, tribes, unique and interesting relics, traditional food, beverage, and culinary, also beautiful natural scenery.
Now, i want to tell you about cultures from bandung, Sundanese Culture. Bandung is city from west java, one from 93 city and 389 district in indonesia (wikipedia november 2012). From bandung, you can found something interesting to learn. You can learn bandung culture at Saung Angklung Udjo. Its the prefect place to play and learn music called angklung, also buy bamboo music and handicraft or souvenir.

Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) is one–stop cultural workshop, consists of : performance venue, bamboo handicraft centre, and bamboo instrument workshop. Apart from that, SAU has an honorable function as an educational laboratory and training centre to preserve the Sundanese culture – Angklung in particular.

Angklung
Angklung is an instrument made from joints of a piece of bamboo. The use of angklung is swayed and shaken by hand. This instrument has been known since a long time ago in some places in Indonesia, especially in West Java, Central Java, East Java, and Bali. The word ‘Angklung’ was originated from Sundanese “angkleung-angkleungan”, that means the movement of angklung player and the sound “klung” that comes from the instrument.

Udjo Ngalagena is the founder of Saung Angklung Udjo. His passionate love for art and culture was a reason for Udjo Ngalagena and his wife Uum Sumiati to establish Saung Angklung Udjo by theirself. As he died on May 3, 2001, the daughters and sons kept continuing Saung Angklung Udjo.
